Swashbuckle Schnauzers are pleased to ‘officially’ announce S. Helen Mirren has had a lovely litter of healthy Black puppies. While we indicate when litters are first born, we like to have them go through the first week before we are confident of their survival. (As all breeders learn, it’s easy to lose puppies in the first few days - being chilled, too hot, or mum crushes - or just expire, sadly.)

Helen’s healthy litter - more boys than girls - are progressing well and putting on weight steadily. Helen is amazing - managing a large litter expertly. She moves position frequently, exposing different sets of feeding stations, and by making the puppies move around the whelping box, helps them put on muscle and build strength.
