Puppy Feed time at Five-week Milestone

Puppies are well into the rhythm of feeding regularly. Three meals a day, plus Patsy & Helen still helping a little. But teeth are erupting and getting sharp, so there is now an obvious reluctance to provide milk for the puppies ….. so we are moving a little more quickly towards being fully weaned in a week or so.

At this 5-week milestone puppies are getting 4 cups of kibble, soaked to soften, 3 meals a day - that’s 12 cups of kibble a day. Each feed is supplemented with about 200-300 grams of 2-star beef mince, half a cup of cottage cheese and a couple of big spoons of puppy milk powder all mixed in for extra protein, calcium, fat and nutrients. And what goes in comes out - hopefully we will have enough newspaper!
