Patsy powers on

Patsy proudly presenting her puppies.

Following on from ‘Patsy’s Adventure’, we though we would update you on Patsy’s progress …..
(sorry, Patsy with a P invites alliteration - simply can’t resist. Her nickname is Pitty-Pat.)

When we came home from Patsy’s major surgery - emergency caesarean, major operation to spay - we had fingers crossed, but with extreme worry. Patsy - never a great eater - was skinny, fussy with food, not eating as much as we’d like …….

This is Patsy now, litter 8-days old - and the secret, as always with fussy mothers, was - ROAST CHICKEN, as all breeders know. Not the home-cooked version (didn’t work), but proper chicken-shop rotisserie roast chicken. We have been through 6 roast chickens so far, and all I can say is, thank god for Costco - $6.99!

Patsy is now past the critical period, mothering amazingly well, eating lots, and enjoying her litter. Swashbuckle Schnauzers will keep a girl to carry on her line, and we look forward to having Patsy’s puppies join families across Australia - at this stage going as far afield as Perth, Rockhampton and places in-between.
